When you first clap eyes on Eden’s Lakes, the sumptuous complex in the heart of Limousin, you will quickly understand why it is a Mecca for Europe’s fishermen.
With three lakes packed to brimming with weighty carp, lush, tranquil surroundings, delicious Gallic cuisine and cosy accommodation, it has everything you need for your dream French carp fishing trip.
Since its construction in 1994, Eden’s Lakes has been famed for the exceptional weight gains of the carp in its three lakes.
The most famous is the North Lake, a five acre body of water where the most remarkable weight gains have been witnessed, with fish growing as much as 10lbs in a single year. That, combined with the spectacular surroundings, makes it one of the continent’s most treasured spots for big fishing.
Nearby is Simon’s Lake. Though not yet at the specimen fish level of the North Lake, this beautiful little three acre spot is not too far behind, with increasingly impressive carp swimming in its tranquil waters.
The third lake is Jolly Pad. Like Simon’s Lake it spreads across three acres. Its considerable 20 foot plateau is a great spot to find masses of carp.
The fishing at Eden’s Lakes is more than matched by the outstanding facilities on offer.
This being France, expect nothing but the best on your dinner table each night when you sign up for the food package. A short walk from the lakes you will find the warm, welcoming smells and sounds of the dining room, where an award winning chef cooks up hearty, wholesome and tasty fare from fresh, local ingredients.
