Sorry for the delay with the blog the last couple of weeks as my laptop is broken and I cannot get my information/files and most of all my pictures of the recent fish caught.
Anyway the last couple of weeks have been lets say absolutely scorching here at Eden’s with temps reaching mid to high 30+ degrees and even hotter in the direct sun.So with the lakes starting to spawn also has made the fishing difficult too with the heat.Back to fishing on the week beginning the 13th May we only had the north lake for this week and the catch rate has not been good due to the amount of fish lost to hook pulls/tackle loss x 8 fish !! ,so only 5 fish banked to 67.00lb which was the box fish at a great weight and up on last years natural weight by 1lb so pleased with that and got the rest of the season to see some more growth and is our second different sixty of the season so far.Well done Warren.
20th May …. Good friend of Eden’s Michael Salisbury returned to help me/us shoot a new updated promotional video to show what we have been upto over the last few years and the changes that have been made since his last visit.Although fishing was tough what with the soaring temps we still bagged a few nice fish from Simon’s where myself and good friend Bob was fishing I was mainly fishing the evenings to breakfast due to work but had some great fish from 32.00lb to 41.00lb and Jolly Pads Mike and neil had 16 fish to 47.00lb but we were a little unlucky with a second spawning this week but mainly on Jollies which slowed them down for the lads. we also had a 2 exclusive fishing on the North lake that managed a couple of fish to 41.06lb and of course the dreaded lost fish syndrome again !!!! it was a great week with some banter and laughs/stress/tears and I had a few all night sessions without sleep trying to get the fish on the go for the cameras which paid off for the second 1/2 of the week.I will keep you posted when we are ready to promote the new video as it has to be put together and edited ect… I would also like to thank Karen for doing most of the cooking this week and was awesome as ever,as we both make a great team here at Eden’s which allowed me a bit more time to crack on elsewhere on site or a few extra hours fishing. We are expecting some cooler weather as from Tuesday next week so praying that the fish decide to get there heads down for the customers on the lakes. So a few pics below to look at and as I load these I can say this following week has picked up already with the cooler weather and thunderstorms.
